Mycelium Perception

"Mycelium Perception" combines the idea of interconnectedness and hidden complexity, both of which are central to the concept of mycelium in nature and a puzzle in art. "Mycelium" refers to the intricate, often unseen network of fungal threads that form beneath the surface, connecting and sustaining life. This mirrors the way each puzzle piece, though distinct, forms part of a greater whole, just as mycelium connects the ecosystem. "Perception" suggests the artwork is not just about what is visible, but also about how it is understood or interpreted. The giant mushroom outline atop the puzzle could symbolise a revelation or a shift in perspective—how the underlying connections (the puzzle pieces/mycelium) lead to a new understanding or perception.
