Crimson Currents

"Crimson Currents" explores the dynamic flow of emotion, energy, and life through the form of a human heart. The title itself reflects this theme—"Crimson," a deep, rich red, symbolises the intensity and passion that define the heart, while "Currents" refers to the continuous movement and rhythm that pulse through it. The artwork is composed of undulating currents of red, dark pink, and orangey-red lines, mimicking both the physiological rhythm of blood and the emotional currents that flow within us. These swirling patterns and subtle spirals evoke the interconnectedness of life forces, illustration how we are both shaped and propelled by invisible, yet powerful, forces. The heart shaped form amplifies the idea of this internal, constant motion, suggesting that out most vulnerable organ, often associated with love and feeling, is also a vessel for the flow of life’s energy.
